Many of our technicians working "on the ground" with value chains don't speak English. While I understand that it is nearly impossible to translate all resources into other languages, it may be good to have some of the concrete tools translated into other languages and/or include a list of resources in other languages (I imagine that these resources would need to be screened before being posted). Thank you for this suggestion. A few key documents such as the briefing papers are translated in Spanish and French and are posted at microLINKS. We will give links to these in the wiki as well. We will also explore the possibility of translation of other key documents. ( Banu Akin, ACDI/VOCA) From Ben (ARD): I wanted to post a comment/question pertaining to the Briefing Paper "Business Enabling Environment and the Value Chain". I would argue that successful reform has more to do with creating additioanl value for the end market/consumer. As the paper reads currently, successful reform is defined as improving business decision making, or reducing burdens on businesses. Both are good in themselves, but if they do not lead to the creation of additional value for those who consume the products/services, then reform was spent on a limited sector of the economy. Further, we could argue that in so doing, the focus would be on the short-term; by focusing on the broader end market, long-term value is the goal.
